Across Sierra Leone, from Lungi to Falaba, Kabala to Makeni, Karene to Kailahun, Bo, and beyond, girls are waking up with greater confidence, comfort, and hope. They are the reason SheCures exists. Some of these girls received SheCures products through organisations that believed in our work and purchased pads for the girls they serve. Some received them through generous donations from partners such as Mesingw Farm. Others accessed them through schools, communities, Peripheral Health Units, and individual purchases. Behind every pad is a growing network of parents, teachers, health workers, local leaders, donors, and partners who want better opportunities for girls. Not every girl we serve receives a free pad. Some girls buy them. Some receive them through their schools. Some access them through community health programmes. However they receive them, the outcome we work towards remains the same: she manages her period with dignity, and she stays in school. These girls are not statistics. They are daughters, sisters, students, future nurses, teachers, entrepreneurs, leaders, and change makers. Their confidence is the real story behind SheCures.
